Baby Boomers Serious About Online Dating/

Ok Boomers, if you are serious about using an online dating memebership site to meet people, to find friendships and/or a serious long term relationship here are some tips:

1. When you join any online dating membership site be sure to complete the membership profile as much as possible. If you are not comfortable answering any question(s) where anyone can read your response, don't leave it blank, put in it's place "ask me" or something along those line. You won't seem to be very interesting if you leave most of the profile questions blank, the answers you've given don't seem realistic, or it seems you haven't really thought much about your answers. If you need to copy the questions and think them through before answering online.

2. Include a photo of yourself but do make sure that the photo is recent. If you don't like the pics you have of yourself and you are drawn to using someone elses photo - DO NOT. This will only hurt you in the long run.

The pic should be in color and show you from the shoulders up, at the very least (lower for some sites ). Most people at on online dating sites that are getting disappointing results to personals is because they don't have a picture posted. If you don't have a good one, have a friend take one!

3. Many online dating sites now allow you to upload a short video message. How wonderful!! Get yourself a webcam and have some fun creating it. Keep your message short, to the point (but honest and fun) and be sure that your face is visible and your voice is as relaxed as possible. Do it over and over before you submit it if you have to. Remember, this is YOUR fist impression to your potential love.

4. Try different online dating sites and don't be afraid to spend $$ for a full membership. You'll get noticed more because you will have more options and more contacts. Your online dating experience will be greatly enhanced!

5. Have fun. Online dating may be a whole new experience for you but if you are ready to put yourself out there, trust me, there is someone who is going to be so thrilled you did and so happy to find you!

Helpful Tips For New Baby Boomer Online Daters

Most people when they think of online dating they put a lot of thought into their own profile and what picture they put up, maybe an audio and even a video. But how much thought goes into who you want to attract. You really need to visualize what you want.

With that in mind, be precise on who you are looking for:

- height
- color of hair
- color of eyes
- never been married
- children/no children
- a particular religious background
- education level
- high morals
- sense of humour
- love sports
- like animals
- live within a certain radius of your location

Add or subtract to the list, but I think it gives a good idea of how to start. Not knowing exactly what you want I think can be a problem sometimes when people go to an online dating site and they are not really sure what they want in a mate. So have a look at this and make one up of your own so the next time you are at an online dating membership site you will almost be able to see him/her.

Visualize who you want to meet. How they will look, think, talk, feel, everything. What you put out will be clear and you are more likely to find each other.
