It hasn't been that long since anyone who was using an online dating membership site would shutter if anyone found out that they were. Of course that time is long gone. Today online dating is not only mainstream but also socially acceptable.

But for Baby Boomers it can still be difficult to talk about, with friends, family and even your children. We come from a generation where the boy was suppose to call the girl (tell that to your children and they will laugh).

There are so many different reasons why people turn to online dating. Anything from being shy, to being housebound. Stats show that the largest group of online daters are (surprise) Baby Boomers!

Yes you can find love through online dating.

Yes you can attract your soul mate.

Finding love online knows no age barriers. A few grey hairs or some 'laugh lines' should not stop you from seeking love though online dating.

Let me give you a bit of advice of how I, a Baby Boomer, found my love thorugh online dating.

When it comes to finding love, your soul mate, through an online dating membership site, so many people do not realize that it is YOU who actually decides who you want to be attracted to you. You may not know it but YOU attract your ideal loving partner and companion.

Start off with knowing all the aspects of the person you are want to find. Don't necessarily think of appearance (though of course that is a factor). Determine what characteristics of your perfect mate. Write a list out of what type of person that you know will make you happy. Things like: a sense of humor; enjoys the outdoors; is a cat person, etc. Then keep it in your mind each time your think about your potential mate.

This may sound 'woo-woo' but trust me it isn't. Trust me.

Whatever you envision, you will draw to you. So what you 'envision' or 'desire' your soul-mate to be, you must project out to the universe so that "you" and "they" connect. When you focus your attention on what you truly want, and need from your love, your soul mate, you eliminate any confusion within yourself as to who it is you are seeking. You do have the power to draw what you want, as long as YOU know exactly who it is you want!

So keep that in mind when you fill out your profile. Keep that in mind with each connection you make.
